What is Girls Rising Strong?
A program empowering young girls to rise strong by cultivating resilience, bravery, and positive character traits through a proactive and faith-based program.For girls in grades 4-8th only
Core Values:

1. Proactive Approach: Girls Rising Strong is committed to a proactive rather than reactive approach. We aim to equip young girls with the skills and mindset to navigate challenges and uncertainties confidently.
2. Holistic Development: Our program is not a traditional halaqa or religious class. It goes beyond academic learning to focus on the holistic development of girls, emphasizing social and emotional skills.
3. Challenging Growth: We aspire to challenge participants in a supportive environment, encouraging them to explore and build on their social and emotional capacities. Being brave is acknowledging fear and moving forward despite it, fostering personal growth.
4. Parental Involvement: We recognize the crucial role parents play and actively seek their buy-in. Girls Rising Strong is most effective when parents are engaged and aware of the program's goals, providing a cohesive support system for the girls.

Facilitator info:

Sr Javairia Ghazanfar, founder of PEN: Pal Education Network, is passionate about helping all learn, rise, and shine with the light of the Quran and Sunnah.
A Computer Software Engineer and certified Qaida Nuraniya instructor, Sr. Javairia has over 20 years of teaching experience. She teaches Islamic Studies at ILM Academy, Al Bayan Hifdh Institute, QSP (RCM), and Nurul Quran, and runs programs such as Rising Stars Weekend School, Mommy & Me, Quran Page a Day, I ❤️ Quran, I ❤️ Islam, and Read to Succeed Book Club.
She is also an active mother of four, finding joy in praying, playing, and learning with her family.

-August 16th, 4 pm-6 pm Mandatory Parent and Participant Orientation.

4. Sept 18th: Stand Tall; The Courage to be Different, Trait: Bravery, Part One
5. Sept 25th: True Belonging; More Than Just Fitting In; Trait: Bravery Part 2
6. Oct 2nd:  Kindness From the Heart: Beyond Niceness; Traits: Kindness
7. Oct 16th: Leveling Up Goals and Habits, Trait: Discipline
8. Oct 23rd: REAL Talk calls the Plays, Trait: Effective Communication. 
9. Oct 30th: REALationships: The Courage to the Shot in Friendship and Life; Traits: Courage and Empathy.
10. Nov 6th: REALationships As One Unit: Leveling Up at Home; Traits: Respect and Empathy

Cost: $110 per month for 4 months (August–November)

Tuition will be automatically charged on the same date of each month, beginning in August and ending in November, for a total of four payments of $110.

Refund Policy: We want you to be fully satisfied with our program. If, after attending the first two sessions,

you feel that the program is not a good fit for you, we are happy to refund the balance of the payment after deducting fees for August.

To strongly discourage withdrawals anytime after August, a fee for the month will be incurred, plus a penalty of an additional month. We operate as a closed group after August, which means we can't add new participants, and this, in turn, impacts our operations.
