Program Vision
To cultivate a generation of confident, compassionate, and courageous young women who lead with purpose, integrity, and heart, transforming their lives and the world around them.
Mission Statement
Girls Rising Strong empowers girls through a character-centered, emotionally intelligent leadership journey that builds self-awareness, inner strength, and authentic connection. Through experiential learning, guided mentorship, and values-based growth, we equip girls to rise with resilience, own their voice, and lead lives rooted in confidence and contribution.
For girls in grades 6th-8th only (Participation in GRS Year One is not necessary in order to participate in GRS Year Two)
Core Values:
-
Proactive Approach: Girls Rising Strong is committed to a proactive rather than reactive approach. We aim to equip young girls with the skills and mindset to navigate challenges and uncertainties confidently.
-
Holistic Development: Our program is not a traditional halaqa or religious class. It goes beyond academic learning to focus on the holistic development of girls, emphasizing social and emotional skills.
-
Challenging Growth: We aim to challenge participants in a supportive environment, encouraging them to explore and develop their social and emotional capacities. Being brave is acknowledging fear and moving forward despite it, fostering personal growth.
-
Parental Involvement: We recognize the crucial role parents play and actively seek their input and support. Girls Rising Strong is most effective when parents are engaged and aware of the program's goals, providing a cohesive support system for the girls.
